Take 5

This program is a brief five-step process that each employee should undertake before starting work and then throughout the day whenever work or working conditions change.  The five steps in the Take 5 process are: •         Think through the task •         Look for the exposure •         Assess the risk •         Take precautions •         Do the job safely The Take 5 IS NOT a substitute for undertaking the overall workplace/task-specific risk assessment which is a broad assessment of all risks in the workplace requesting that all employees stop and think before engaging in their job tasks.
